Glazing Drop-in Class at SE
This is a one-time class for past students or past members at The Mud Room SE to finish glazing any pieces made during class time or during their membership. This is a casual style glazing class to finish past works with an instructor who will be available for questions. Please note—this is not open studio time to continue work on ongoing greenware projects, or to glaze pieces made elsewhere.
You may glaze a maximum of 10 pots during this class time, as our shelves+kilns don't have the capacity for more than that. If you have more than 10 pots, we ask that you sign up for multiple of these classes in order to finish your work.
Time: This class takes place roughly every 4 weeks, on Sunday morning from 10 AM-12 PM
Location: The Mud Room SE, 2011 SE 10th Ave
Cost: $30
Available Dates:
September 28th
November 2nd
A little about your instructor:
Rez (he/him):
Like many others, Rez began working with clay in high school. After many years away from it, he joined The Mud Room shortly after it opened and experienced a huge growth spurt. He loves making mugs, and experimenting with the myriad of possibilities with shapes, sizes, bottoms and handles. Driven by curiosity and the patience that working with clay requires, he seeks the ever elusive, perhaps mythical, "perfect handle" and loves learning what works—and what doesn't—along the way. As an instructor, Rez hopes to foster a supportive environment where he shares application techniques, encourages experimentation, and promotes embracing failure as an essential part of a student's growth in their clay journey.
