These classes will be taught by Danielle (she/her), Ryan (they/them), and Prudence (she/her).

A little about Danielle:

Danielle (she/her) first learned ceramics while at Roger Williams University and then honed her craft through mentorships and self exploration in her home studio. As a teacher, she brings the experience of a potter who has shown her work in galleries, sold pots in markets all across New England, and has a true passion for the craft.

Danielle's teaching style follows the fundamental skills of wheel-throwing while pushing each individual towards achieving their own personal goals. She brings an open mind, friendly demeanor, enthusiasm, and an adaptable teaching style to her classes to meet students where they are. Danielle hopes to inspire creativity and foster community within her classes and believes that the most valuable pottery education comes from community studios much like The Mud Room.

A little about Ryan:

Ryan (they/them) brings over 12 years of experience in ceramics, evolving from the early days of crooked pinch pots to mastering the complexities of crystalline glaze chemistry. Passionate about sharing their knowledge, Ryan is committed to helping students discover techniques that suit their unique bodies and creative styles. Their teaching is rooted in the fundamentals and encourages curiosity, experimentation, and a deep sense of community.

A little about Prudence:

Prudence (she/her) discovered her passion for clay through handbuilding during high school and has been honing her skills on the wheel since 2019. She found both consistency in her practice and a strong ceramic community through her membership at The Mud Room in 2021. Prudence loves exploring new techniques and experimenting with different ceramic methods. As an instructor, she is dedicated to fostering curiosity and guiding students towards their unique ceramic goals.
